What this page covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Techmining.com handles account information, uploaded datasets, usage activity, and operational data required to deliver the product experience.

Who we are

Techmining.com, powered by vantagenAI™, is operated by Search Technology, Inc., which is responsible for the personal information described on this page.

Your account information

Your account holds the minimum we need to run the service: your email address, username, country, organization (if you provide one), a confirmation that you are 18 or older, and your password, which is stored only in hashed form. We also keep your subscription and credit status.

We do not store your date of birth — at registration it is used only to confirm that you are 18 or older, and only that confirmation is retained. Payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record; we never see or store your card details. Your IP address is used to confirm you are in a supported region and is kept only briefly in session and security records.

Account information is kept until your account is deleted: 180 days after your paid access ends or you last sign in, whichever is later (or 180 days after registration or your last sign-in if you never had paid access). You can ask us to delete your account sooner at any time.

Your data

Your data is what you bring to Techmining.com: the files you upload, the fields you select, your chat history, and the reports generated from them. Please upload only information you are authorized to process.

Each dataset, and everything associated with it, is deleted 30 days after your last interaction with that dataset — opening it in Analyze Now, sending a prompt that uses it, or clicking Renew on the dataset management page each resets that 30-day window. You can delete a dataset yourself at any time; its chat history is deleted along with it.

Your data is used only to produce your analysis. It is sent to Google's Gemini API for that purpose and is never sold or shared for any other purpose.

Google's Gemini API processes your data under paid-service terms, under which Google does not use it to improve its products or train its models. Google keeps request logs, and the conversation state that lets follow-up questions build on an earlier answer, for the retention period we have set on our account, currently 28 days, and may keep a record for a limited further period solely to detect misuse. When you delete a dataset or your account, we instruct Google to delete the conversation state kept for it.

How information is used

Information is used to operate the service, secure accounts, manage credits and subscriptions, troubleshoot issues, and improve the reliability of Techmining.com.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers to run the service: Paddle (payments and billing), Google Gemini (AI analysis), and our hosting, storage, and error-monitoring providers. Each processes information only as needed to provide its part of the service.
